"Great course, great introduction to getting major fingerings & modes. Thank you for the time you put into developing it!" -Niall S., Ireland

"Fantastic course. I knew pretty much all of the scales, arpeggios and chords prior to watching but this system provides the easiest approach to practicing in a comprehensive manner. I can also see how the system can be used to practice lines, licks and tunes in all keys [...] the system is a great way to make it quicker and easier to transpose on the fly. Thanks a lot for putting this together!" -Ken M., USA

Learning Scale Positions Painlessly, through 15 Assignments

Jazz guitar scales are the single most used musical device in jazz improvisation and comping. In this jazz guitar scales lesson, you'll master scales in the common "positions system" efficiently, easily and logically. Plus, a friendly teacher delivers the materials to you step-by-step. (-:

Through clear and concise explanations you'll be shedding the light on the most obscure parts of the guitar fretboard. This course focuses on Jazz guitar scale positions and what lies within them. Instead of seeing a chart with a bunch of dots on the guitar and being asked to memorize everything, here, we'll focus on the music making potential of the scale positions.

Step-by-step, note-by-note and through precise assignments, you'll visualize the major scale, the II-V-I progression in every key and in every position (including arpeggios and chords). Don't be scared now! We build everything from scratch and every jazz guitar lesson is progressively *slightly* more difficult.

This Jazz guitar scales course uses a radically different approach to learning the classic 'positions', so the sequence of the assignments makes for a smooth learning curve. No more roadblocks, no more quitting after you memorized a bunch of dots on the fret board (and forgot them!) Simply put: shed a few scales and make LOTS of music with them!

"Thanks for the course. One of the best I've had so far. The best thing about it is that it's so simple even though it is covering quite complex areas for beginners at least. It also gives a lot of fun and motivation as the results come quite quickly. Love it."

"I enjoy the course very much and am currently working on the application of counting out the scale and making the chord that goes with it. I'm also working on how to play solo without a supporting instrument in accompaniment. Thanks for checking in. The course is awesome and helping me expand my Flamenco and Rhumba playing and converting it into a Jazzier sound." - Austin H., USA

"Great! :) Loving this! Loud and Clear! Just by doing these simple exercises when playing within strictly defined positions, I found out that I really have to think more like a violinist also when it comes to positioning the fingers within a fret, the positions of my fingers should not be done randomly, but more like how a violinist would do it. (Cause the position of the finger on a violin's un-fretted fingerboard would define the pitch.) On a guitar with frets, the defined position would not give me pitch, BUT it will still give me speed, accuracy, confidence and a lot of other things when I'm more accurate about the placing of my fingers within a fret. (I press the finger just behind the fret.) This is very important to think about when doing practice on positions. So even when the fret gives us the tone, there are lots of other benefits by thinking like a violinist! My two favourite benefits are speed and confidence. :) Thanks SO much!!!! :) This is just brilliant!!"
